In order to get more accurate results, our search has the following Google-Type search functionality:
If you use '+' in front of a word, then that word will be present in the search results.
ex: Harry +Potter will return results with the word 'Potter'.
If you use '-' in front of a word, then that word will be absent in the search results.
ex: Harry -Potter will return results without the word 'Potter'.
If you use 'AND' between two words, then both of those words will be present in the search results.
ex: Harry AND Potter will return results with both 'Harry' and 'Potter'.
If you use 'OR' between two words, then bth of those words may or may not be present in the search results.
ex: Harry OR Potter will return results with just 'Harry', results with just 'Potter' and results with both 'Harry' and 'Potter'.
If you use 'NOT' before a word, then that word will be absent in the search results.
ex: Harry NOT Potter will return results without the word 'Potter'.
Placing '""' around words will perform a phrase search. The search results will contain those words in that order.
ex: "Harry Potter" will return any results with 'Harry Potter' in them, but not 'Potter Harry'.
Using '*' in a word will perform a wildcard search. The '*' signifies any number of characters. Searches can not start with a wildcard.
ex: Pot*er will return results with words starting with 'Pot' and ending in 'er'. In this case, 'Potter' will be a match.
Recycle Your Day is a book about recycling and solving problems. It teaches children (and parents), in a fun environment how to reflect upon negative events from the day and reframe them into useful experiences from which they can learn and grow. It will teach children how to self regulate their emotions, and change their (internal self-talk and external social) communication and behaviour so they get different, more positive results in the future.
It’s these very common childhood events that lead to the mental health crisis that we are experiencing in the world today. If kids can learn these skills while they are young, they will be able to recycle (reframe or put into perspective) the events from the day and then let go of the emotional charge and make a plan to change things tomorrow.
A very complex social issue has been addressed and a lasting solution has been provided. All inside a lovely, well written, grammatically correct, easy to understand metaphor that all children can relate to.
This book will:
Start conversations and keep them going
Introduce kind and understanding behaviour
Encourage positive caring communication
Foster self confidence and emotional wellbeing
Promote awareness of negative behaviour and provide alternatives
Encourage a thoughtful and respectful culture at school and home
Provide a framework to make it easier to have difficult conversations
Teach problem solving skills that will last a lifetime - Lateral Thinking: Negotiation: Problem Investigation: Mindfulness, Social Emotional Learning (SEL) EQ, Stress Management
WHO IS THIS BOOK FOR?
This is a book for Parents, Teachers, Carers, Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Child Psychologists, Librarians. Anyone with a coffee table, a bookcase or a waiting room.
